Police were looking for suspects after a shooting Thursday morning in a local neighborhood that sent one man to a hospital.

HARKER HEIGHTS (July 25, 2013)--Harker Heights police were investigating Thursday morning after a shooting that left one man injured.

Police said they were sent to a house in the 400 block of South Juanita Drive just after 9 a.m. after a caller reported a man had been shot.

Police were interviewing several witnesses to the incident.

The man suffered from a single gunshot wound to the upper torso, police say.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

Information about his condition wasn't immediately available.

Officers said they had not recovered a weapon.

Police were looking for an unspecified number of suspects who were seen leaving the area at the time of the shooting in a blue SUV.
