BELL COUNTY (June 21, 2012)—A Morgan’s Point man suffered head injuries early Thursday morning when he lost control of his motorcycle on a rural Bell County highway.
Clinton Anderson Garden, 35, was taken from the scene at Farm-to-Market Road 439 and Sparta Road to Scott and White Hospital by Belton EMS where he was treated for head injuries and later released.
Department of Public Safety trooper Joaquin Falcone said at about 2:40 a.m. Garden was eastbound on FM 439 when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, lost control of his motorcycle and was ejected.
Falcone said Garden was not wearing a helmet.
Garden called 911 himself, Falcone said, but when help arrived the victim was unsure where he was or where he was going.
Falcone said Garden would be cited for operating a motorcycle while under the influence of alcohol.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident, Falcone said.
