WACO (July 4, 2012)—Daniel Lee Flores, who already was facing charges on outstanding warrants for stalking, criminal trespass and criminal mischief, had even more charges added to his list on Tuesday.

Flores, who police say locked himself inside his home Monday afternoon and eventually tried to escape into the crawlspace under his house, now faces an evading arrest charge and another for aggravated assault on a public servant.

Flores was ordered held in the McLennan County Jail on bonds totaling $46,000.

When U.S. Marshals arrived at Flores’ home Monday afternoon to arrest him on outstanding warrants, Flores locked himself inside, then crawled under the house and tried to break a gas line.

Authorities were able to turn the gas meter off before he caused any damage.

Flores eventually came out and was arrested.

He was taken to the hospital to be treated for dehydration, then to the McLennan County Jail.
