BELTON (July 5, 2012)—Two Killeen men were set to plead guilty Thursday to a 2011 shooting that left another man dead.

Francois Devon Roberson, 28, and Deandre Donta Brown, 26, were set to plead guilty in 264th State District Court to the Nov. 13, 2011 shooting death of Marcus Dewayne King, 36, of Killeen.

King died that evening at a local hospital after the shooting in the 2800 block of Schwald Road in Killeen, police said.

Roberson and Brown were arrested two days later, one on an outstanding warrant and the other on a misdemeanor charge.

The murder charge was filed Nov. 18, 2011.

King was supposed to meet two men at the house that Sunday, and police say the men lured King to the home with the intention of robbing him.

A woman drove King to the residence and was waiting outside when he came out of the house after he was shot in the chest.

She was driving him to the hospital when police intercepted the vehicle.

The two men King went to the house to meet both fled on foot onto Fort Hood, police said.
