College Student Injured In Central Texas Motorcycle Crash Dies

WACO (November 29, 2012)-- A college student from Austin who was involved in a motorcycle accident near Waco the day after Thanksgiving has died after being taken off life support.

Daniel Clinton Cameron, 25, who had an address in Austin, died Tuesday at Scott & White Hospital, in Temple, after being flown there on Nov. 23 from the scene of an accident just east of Waco.

Department of Public Safety trooper Thomas Ladd reported that at around 8 p.m. last Friday Cameron was riding a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle west on State Highway 31 near Farm-to-Market Road 2311 when his motorcycle collided with a 2005 Jeep Cherokee, driven by Miranda Lynn Harris, of West.

Ladd reported Harris was driving northbound on FM 2311.

Cameron was flown by helicopter ambulance to Scott & White where he remained until Tuesday when life support was terminated and he died, a DPS spokesman said.

Ladd said Cameron was wearing a helmet.

Harris was not injured.
