WACO (December 28, 2012)—Firefighters Friday afternoon had to use the Jaws of Life to free a woman from the wreckage of her vehicle after a three-car crash on Valley Mills Drive.
Firefighters and police were sent just before 3 pm. to the 1400 block of North Valley Mills drive where three vehicles had collided in the roadway.
Rescuers found one woman still trapped in her vehicle and had to use the Jaws of Life to free her, after which she was taken by ambulance to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
All three northbound lanes of Valley Mills Drive were blocked while firefighters worked to free the woman and later while crews cleared the street of debris.
The woman taken to Hillcrest was the only person injured.
Traffic was moving normally on North Valley Mills Drive within about half-an-hour.
