BELLMEAD (March 6, 2013)—An overnight fire in Bellmead forced three residents from their home but all escaped without injury.
Bellmead firefighters were sent just before midnight to a house just off Larry Lane, near Loop 340, where the first units on the scene reported a house on fire.
Firefighters at the scene said three people were inside sleeping when the blaze started but all were able to escape unhurt.
The house, however, sustained heavy damage from fire, smoke and water.
There was no word Wednesday morning of how the fire might have started and it remains under investigation.
