WACO (May 14, 2014) Waco police, fire and EMS units were at the scene of an overturned Waco Transit bus Wednesday morning where two passengers were reported injured.
First responders were sent at about 7:50 a.m. to Clay Street, between 16th and 17th streets, where the bus was reported overturned, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.
Police at the scene said the bus collided with a Dodge Ram at the intersection of 17th and Clay.
The two passengers on the bus, called a para-transit vehicle, were MHMR clients and several special needs personnel had been called to the scene to help with those passengers, Swanton said.
Two local nurses who were on their way to work stopped at the scene and provided aid to the passengers, Swanton said.
Only the driver and the two passengers were on the bus, Swanton said.
There were four people in the Dodge and none was hurt.
