MAGNOLIA (April 16, 2014) A statewide Amber Alert issued Tuesday evening for Elizabeth Rex, 14, who was last seen at around 4 p.m. Monday in Magnolia in Montgomery County was lifted Wednesday.
The alert said she was with Randy Johnson, 51.
Johnson and the girl were found in Harlingen according to family members interviewed by KHOU-TV in Houston.
Johnson was arrested and the teenager was returned to her family.
The teenager has been diagnosed with Pre-Development Disorder, Down Syndrome, Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Bipolar Disorder and Von Willerbrand Disease, authorities said.
The disorders cause her to interact on a 5-to-6-year-old level and cause mental instability and occasional mental breakdowns in high stress environments, authorities said.
