BELLMEAD (June 26, 2012)--The city of Bellmead is one step closer to having a new city manager.

Bellmead mayor Mary Youngblood tells KWTX News Ten that the city council has appointed Everett "Bo" Thomas as the the new city manager, pending a background check.

Youngblood expects Thomas to start on his new job July 9.

Thomas is currently the city manager of Page, Ariz.

He has had that job for ten years.
