BRYAN (October 16, 2012)--Investigators in Bryan want to know if bones dug up from a vacant lot are human remains from the 1960s.
Bryan police announced the criminal investigation and the excavation on Monday, but no information was released about how police learned about the bones late last week.
Officers spent part of Monday digging at the scene in an excavation that could continue several days.
Police say the bones will be sent to a lab to determine if the remains are human or animal.
