Brothers Charged In Burglaries Of Texas A&M Dorm Rooms

COLLEGE STATION (December 12, 2012)--Two brothers who are former Corps of Cadets band members are charged in a string of burglaries in unoccupied campus dorms during football games, Texas A&M University police said.

University police said the siblings are responsible for more than 45 burglaries.

Brazos County Jail records show Jovan Ashley Martinez, 24, of College Station was free on $15,000 bond, charged with three counts of burglary of a habitation.

He was arrested Monday and released Tuesday.

A burglary warrant has been issued for Eleazar Martinez.

Police say more than two-dozen rooms were burglarized on Nov. 17 as A&M beat Sam Houston State 47-28.

Computers, cash, clothing and jewelry, including Aggie rings, were taken.

Police executed a search warrant and recovered some items from the home of Eleazar Martinez.
