KILLEEN (May 12, 2014) Police responded to a standoff Monday night at a home off Joy Drive in Killeen.

A command post was established at the Killeen Mall.

According to a Killeen Police spokesperson, a neighbor made threats against another neighbor.

When police were called, one of them refused to come out of their home and barricaded themselves inside.

The subject did not have a weapon.

The standoff ended peacefully just after 10 p.m. Monday.

No one was arrested and no one was hurt, according to police.

The Temple and Harker Heights police departments responded to the call to allow Killeen police officers time to mourn the death of a police detective who passed away Sunday after being shot in the line of duty.
