BRYAN (October 4, 2013)—Federal agents, some wearing protective hazmat gear, searched a condominium Friday in Bryan and two houses in an upscale Houston neighborhood Friday.

The searches were evidently related, but Agent Shauna Dunlap, an FBI spokeswoman in Houston, declined to describe the purpose.

The search warrants are under court seal, she said.

The hazmat gear was used as a precaution, she said.

KBTX-TV in Bryan reported that a SWAT and hazmat teams were at the condominium on Woodland Court.

Nearby residents were told they could evacuate voluntarily, but advised that if they did, they would not be allowed to return home until the search was completed, KBTX reported.

Tax records cited by the Houston Chronicle listed art expert Cicely E. Horton as the owner of the houses in Houston.

Her husband, Andrew Edward Schneck, declined to comment to the Chronicle.

Brazos County tax records reviewed by KBTX show Horton and Schneck to be the owners of the condominium.
