HILL COUNTY (March 23, 2014) Police arrested a man after he led them on high speed chase through three different counties early Sunday morning.
Department of Public Safety Trooper Harpin Myers said 31-year-old Milton Hayes was arrested in Hill County and booked into the Hill County Jail Sunday on the charge of evading arrest in a motor vehicle.
Myers said the Austin resident would likely face additional charges for the incident that started in Bell County just before 1 a.m. Sunday.
Myers said officers clocked the 2002 PT Cruiser Hayes was driving at speeds over 110 mph.
Spike strips damaged two tires on the vehicle but Hayes continued to drive through McLennan County and finally into Hill County where he was later arrested near mile marker 368.
