WACO (October 23, 2012)-Waco police were searching Tuesday for a man who walked into a North Waco convenience store and demanded money from the clerk at gunpoint.

Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said the clerk at Hap's Ice House at 1905 North 39th St. told officers a man walked into the store at around 9:30 p.m. Monday, pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the register.

The clerk handed over the cash and the robber left the store on foot.

The clerk said the robber was black, about 6-foot-3 with a very thin build and was wearing a black hat, a black bandana, black ski gloves and a red jacket.

Swanton said the robber left the store and disappeared into the neighborhood.

No one was injured, Swanton said, and the amount of money taken was not disclosed.

It was the second robbery at the store in less than a week.

Early last Thursday morning, a man who was wearing a bandana over his face walked into the store and demanded money.

It’s not clear if he was armed.

He escaped with an undetermined amount of cash.

No one was injured.
