WACO (February 19, 2013) -- The Heart O' Texas Federal Credit Union in Waco received a number of complaints Tuesday as customers discovered they could not access the credit union's website.
When attempting to view the website, customers instead saw an ad bearing the message, "Islam will rule the world."
According to the credit union's website provider, the ad blocked customers from getting to the website, Waco Heart O' Texas Federal Credit Union Branch Manager Lark Smith said.
Many worried customers called the credit union to express their concerns.
"No customer information was compromised," Smith said.
"The website server was the target and not the credit union," he added.
The problem has now been fixed and customers can again access their information through the website.
The company has locations in Waco, Killeen and Copperas Cove.
