Employees Left In Freezer After Local Restaurant Robbed; Photos Released

TEMPLE (November 27, 2012)--Police in Temple released surveillance photos Tuesday afternoon of an armed man who robbed a fast food restaurant and left his victims locked inside a freezer as he made his escape.

Officers were sent at around 5:40 a.m. to the Jack in the Box restaurant, in the 3600 block of H K Dodgen Loop after a caller reported that an armed man walked into the business and demanded money, Temple police Cpl. Christopher Wilcox said.

Police confirmed that before he left, the man forced everyone in the restaurant to get into the freezer and locked them inside.

Witnesses said the man was wearing all black clothing, black gloves, a long-sleeve shirt and his face was covered with some type of mask.

The man also was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.

Police did not say what the robber escaped with nor did they give any description of a vehicle.

No one was injured in the robbery.
