WACO (August 2, 2013)—Police have identified the body of a man found near the Bosque River Thursday as John Michael Johnson, 34, of Woodway.

Some fishermen found Johnson Thursday morning inside a pickup truck parked near the Bosque River in far west Waco.

Justice of the Peace Kristi DeCluitt pronounced Johnson dead at the scene and ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said there were no obvious signs of foul play at the scene and investigators would have to wait on autopsy reports to issue a cause of death.

The fisherman called police at around 12:15 p.m. Thursday after finding the body inside the 2004 black Dodge pickup.
