WACO (April 11, 2013)--A Waco man was held Thursday in the McLennan County Jail charged with several counts of forgery involving checks stolen from his grandfather.
Christopher Lynn Grady, 27, was awaiting bond after his arrest on a warrant charging one count of forgery after several checks were stolen from a 65-year-old Elm Mott man and cashed at area HEB and Walmart stores.
The incidents that were first reported in February.
They involved checks cashed at HEB and Walmart stores that totaled $344 in value, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.
Grady also was ordered held on bonds totaling $18,000 charged with burglary of a building, theft from an elderly individual, evading arrest and forgery.
