KILLEEN (December 10, 2012)—Live Oak Ridge Middle School was locked down Monday morning after staff members received information “that could have potentially posed a threat to the safety of our students and staff,” Principal Brenda Adams said in a letter sent home to parents.
The letter didn’t provide any additional details about the nature of the threat and a district spokeswoman declined to provide any additional details Monday.
On Dec. 5, a weapon was confiscated from a student at the school and the student was arrested, according to a letter sent to parents about the incident.
No one was injured, the letter said.
