GROESBECK (April 1, 2013)---Vandals broke into Groesbeck Middle School over the weekend and caused significant damage to several classrooms.
Groesbeck police Chief Jerri Almy said a vandal or vandals broke into the building and then into several classrooms sometime between Friday night and Monday morning.
Almy said most of the damage was done in the art classroom and the library.
The burglars gathered paint from the art room and splashed it on walls and floors throughout the building.

Damage to the building was significant enough that students were moved to classes in other buildings while workers cleaned up the mess.
