KILLEEN (July 14, 2012)—The City of Killeen has issued an advisory in response to questions about unsolicited letters some residents are receiving from a business called HomeServe offering water service line coverage.

“The City of Killeen is not affiliated with HomeServe in any way,” the city said in the advisory.

The Home Service and American Water Resources companies have sent similar letters, and Killeen “has no affiliation with these companies either,” the city said.

The city is neither offering nor promoting the water service line coverage the businesses are selling, the advisory says.
