Man Grazed By Bullet In Shooting At Local Hotel

Few details were available, but police confirmed Thursday that  a man was grazed by a bullet in an early-morning shooting at a local hotel.

KILLEEN (March 14, 2013)—Police were looking for three suspects after an early morning shooting Thursday at a hotel in Killeen that left a 32-year-old man with minor injuries.

The incident happened at around 12:30 a.m. Thursday at the Modern Inn at 1010 North Root Ave. in Killeen.

The victim told officers that three men forced him into his second-floor room and shot him, police spokeswoman Carroll Smith said Thursday.

He said two of the men were wearing red hooded sweatshirts and the other was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

He was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

He was later released.

The three attackers fled on foot after the shooting.

The motive for the shooting hasn't been determined.

Police earlier said the victim wasn’t cooperating, but now say he is.
