WACO (June 25, 2012)--A man was taken by ambulance to a Waco hospital at around noon Monday after a woman intentionally struck him with her SUV and then left the scene.
Authorities identified the woman as the man’s ex-girlfriend.
Police said the man was thrown into the air and hit the windshield when the Ford Explorer struck him at North 27th Street and Woodrow Avenue.
Witnesses told officers the woman sped down Woodrow, saw the man, made a U-turn and returned to run him down, police said.
The man, who suffered a head injury, was taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.
His name wasn’t immediately available.
