WEST (November 30, 2012)--Several injuries were reported Friday afternoon after a multiple-vehicle crash on Interstate 35 between Elm Mott and West.
An initial report from Jody Wheatley at the Texas Department of Transportation indicated traffic was backed up as far as 3.7 miles south from the Wiggins Road exit on northbound Interstate 35.
She offered no estimate of the amount of time it would take to clear the roadway.
Department of Public Safety troopers and rescue units from Elm Mott and West had been dispatched to the scene to assist the injured and begins to clear the roadway.
Traffic was being diverted around the accident site.
There was no word on what caused the accident.
