KILLEEN (November 19, 2012) --- Police were investigating Monday after a brawl involving close to fifty people armed with sticks, baseball bats and guns broke out Saturday afternoon near downtown Killeen.

Police reports indicate units were sent to 803 North College Street just after 2 p.m. Saturday in response to a report that 30 to 50 people were fighting.

Witnesses told officers that a man started a fight and threatened some people with a gun.

Witnesses to the brawl said Monday it got even more heated when other people began fighting with different weapons and neighbors tried to intervene.

"A whole bunch of guys came out they had sticks a couple of them had some handguns and everything…and the police showed up with assault rifles," neighborhood resident Terrell Roundtree said Monday.

Roundtree said there was also an accident involving a suspect's car nearby after the driver tried to get away.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the brawl to call Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-8477
