TEMPLE (June 25, 2013)—Barbie Lee Frazier, 54, of Temple, was jailed Tuesday charged with tampering with evidence with intent to impair a human corpse in connection with the beating death of a man identified Tuesday as Michael Carl Davis, 43, also of Temple.

Frazier’s bond is set at $100,000, according to online jail records.

Davis was found dead Friday morning inside a house in the 500 block of E. Avenue C.

He suffered severe head trauma, police Cpl. Christopher Wilcox said.

Willie Frank Roberson, 43, of Temple, who was arrested at the scene on Friday, was charged with murder Monday in Davis’ death.

He was ordered held in lieu of $500,000 bond, jail records showed.

Frazier, who was also in the house at the time of the murder, was arrested Monday.

“During an interview with detectives Ms. Frazier admitted that she and Mr. Roberson had altered the crime scene and fabricated a story about the events that had led up to the murder,” Wilcox said.

It was the second homicide of the year in Temple, Wilcox said.
