KILLEEN (January 22, 2013)—Sean Michael Denny, 33, was in the Bell County Jail Tuesday charged with aggravated assault in connection with a domestic dispute that led to a 15-hour standoff that forced some evacuations in a Killeen neighborhood late Sunday night.

Denny was ordered held in lieu of $100,000 bond.

He was arrested without incident just before 5 a.m. Monday.

Killeen officers responded at around 1:30 p.m. Sunday to the home in the 3600 block of Tatonka Drive after a woman called and reported that she and a man were having an argument that turned violent.

She said she fled from the home and told officers the man was threatening to commit suicide.

The street was shut down as police and swat team members negotiated with the man, who police said might have had an weapon and could pose a danger to himself or to neighbors.

Six homes were evacuated overnight as the standoff continued.

Displaced residents were sent to the Killeen Community Center.
