WACO (October 25, 2012)--Texas State Technical College police are investigating an attempted suicide that happened Monday night in front of a campus apartment complex.
A spokeswoman for TSTC said at around 8:30 p.m. Monday a student attempted suicide in front of the Red River apartments, a campus housing complex.
The student's name has not been released.
The student's condition was not disclosed Thursday but the spokeswoman said the incident is being investigated as an attempted suicide.
The spokeswoman said it is against school policy for a student to possess a firearm on campus.
The parent of another TSTC student who witnessed the event said a male student shot himself in the head.
The parent said she had not been notified that a students had a weapon on campus and that there had been a shooting.
