Firefighters had a mess to clean up Monday morning after a tanker truck overturned, spilling 5,000 gallons of milk along the frontage road of a local highway.

WACO (April 8, 2013)—A tanker truck overturned Monday morning on the Highway 6 frontage road near the intersection with Loop 340 in Waco, spilling 5,000 gallons of milk and another 80 gallons of diesel fuel.

The driver was taken to a local hospital.

The truck was approaching the ramp to Highway 6 headed toward Marlin when it overturned.

Waco firefighters were cleaning up the mess Monday morning and said the area will be closed to traffic for several hours.
