LITTLE RIVER-ACADEMY (May 3, 2013)--Two drivers were injured Friday morning in a crash near Little River in rural Bell County that involved two pickup trucks and an 18-wheeler.
The crash left the drivers of the pickups injured, one seriously.
Both were taken by ambulance to Scott & White Hospital, in Temple.
DPS Sgt. Steven Stanfield said at around 8:30 a.m. the driver of a black Dodge pickup was driving on Wooded Acres Drive when his truck collided with the second pickup.
The force of the collision sent the black Dodge truck spinning into the path of an eastbound 18-wheeler hauling a large bulldozer along Farm-to-Market 436.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured.
Traffic along FM 436 was restricted to one lane for a time, but has since returned to normal flow.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
