KILLEEN (August 6, 2012)--A local man was in the Bell County Jail Monday, charged with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery in connection with the robbery of a man and the kidnapping of the man’s fiancée.
Che Demarco Middleton, 21, was ordered held on bonds totaling $200,000 after Killeen police arrested him following a car chase and crash.
In the backseat of the wrecked car police found a naked woman who told officers she had been kidnapped by a group of men earlier in the morning and forced at gunpoint to perform oral sex on at least one of them.
An arrest affidavit obtained by News 10 says the woman and her fiancée were sitting in a car at around 1 a.m. Saturday outside of Sam's Dollhouse, at 602 West Elms, when a car drove up in which two men were riding.
The two got out and one of them pulled a gun and robbed the man.
Then the two men pulled the woman from the car and ordered her to disrobe at gunpoint before forcing her into their vehicle.
The men drove off with the woman in the backseat.
The woman’s boyfriend followed them and used his cell phone to call police.
He directed officers to the 3400 block of Elms Road, where the car he had been following was parked behind a nearby warehouse.
Officers approached the Dodge Avenger, but when they ordered the men to get out, the driver sped off with police in pursuit.
The officer reported in the affidavit he could see a woman in the backseat of the car during the chase, which ended when the vehicle crashed into a utility pole at the intersection of Chantz Street and Farm-to-Market 3470.
The two men jumped out.
One escaped, but the other was captured.
The officer also reported he found a naked woman in the back seat after the crash.
Police recovered a silver handgun from the floorboard of the wrecked car.
The woman’s boyfriend later told police he was robbed of a billfold, his cellular telephone, $30 in cash and two skateboards.
