PJC Audiology, subsidiary of PJC Properties, LLC, purchases Martin Audiology
WACO, May 27,2008 – Dr. Melody Martin is proud to announce today that the Martin Audiology Associates hearing healthcare practice has been purchased by PJC Audiology, LLC and will continue to operate using the name Martin Audiology Associates. This positions Martin Audiology to compete aggressively in a growing market with a strong balance sheet, new business management, and a continued, award winning, focus on the patient experience of “Better Hearing with a Human Touch”. With it’s experienced team of health care professionals and associates intact, with combined experience of over 100 years, Martin Audiology is committed to our patients and their future. Dr. martin has been retained as President of the company, which will maintain its headquarters in Waco.
In addition, PJC Audiology has purchased a hearing aid inventory, valued at over $250,000, for the sole purpose of donating them to children in central Texas who may not be able to afford the gift of hearing.
PJC Audiology is a subsidiary of PJC Properties, LLC, a holding company that encompasses Walkabout RV in Waco and Rockwall, Rabroker Air Conditioning and Heating in Temple,, EQ Solutions, Walkabout Transportation, and Cen-Tex Freight Lines in Austin.as well as a variety of other holdings.
In celebrating the Martin Audiology Associates acquisition, PJC Chairman Pat Curry said: “This is a great day in Martin Audiology’s history and future. Martin Audiology is recognized throughout central Texas and all over the United States as a superior Hearing Healthcare Practice. By combining their superior patient care professionals with the PJC Audiology business management team, we’ve put together a new company absolutely capable of raising the level of hearing health care in central Texas to new heights.”
“Dr. Melody Martin, with over three decades of service to the hearing impaired, has been recognized for her outstanding clinical work, her published research, her mission work in central Texas and Mexico, and her continuing support of the local community. She is a leader and innovator in the world of Audiology practices. Her patients and her peers have come to rely on her wealth of expertise, experience, and dedication.” Curry continued, “Dr. Martin’s life work of improving the hearing of under-privileged patients throughout the area will also be continued with the donation of the hearing device inventory to the Martin Audiology Foundation.”
Martin Audiology was established in 1993 and has assisted thousands of patients in central Texas and around the world experience a better quality of life through improved hearing.

Martin Audiology will continue to operate its 4 office locations in Waco, Temple, Killeen, and Georgetown.
