BELTON 85TH ANNUAL 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION
Since the 1850s folks from all over Central Texas have come to celebrate the 4th of July in Belton. This week-long celebration features one of USA Today's Top Ten Parades in the country, the Festival on Nolan Creek, a Carnival, Texas Ole Time Fiddlers' Contest, Patriotic Program, and Kick-Off BBQ with the rodeo being the highlight of the celebration. The parade begins at 10 a.m. Saturday. Festival on Nolan Creek in Yettie Polk Park begins at 11 a.m.

Temple has this event every year, good show and good for the community. But they really should consider the traffic, they put no thought into it west Virginia Ave should have "no parking" on the school side of the road, traffic gets plugged up on that street every year. Which causes unnecessary altercations between motorist.
