MONTGOMERY, Ala. (January 9, 2013)--A charter bus carrying University of Alabama cheerleaders back to Tuscaloosa, Ala., after the BCS championship game was involved in an accident that seriously injured a student who was riding in another vehicle.
Authorities said the crash Tuesday night in Montgomery, Ala., involved the cheerleaders' bus, which was carrying 31 people; a pickup truck; and a car.
Police say no one on the bus was hurt, but a passenger in the pickup suffered life-threatening injuries and was listed in stable condition.
University spokeswoman Deborah Lane said the injured person was a university student who was riding with three other students.
The four were not traveling with the cheerleaders' bus.
