Arrest Made In Shooting That Left Rapper, Student Dead

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (December 30, 2013) Police in Montgomery, Ala., have arrested a man on two capital murder charges in the deaths of rapper Doe B. and a college student who were killed in a shooting at a bar that left six others wounded.

Montgomery police said Monday that Jason Quan McWilliams, 25, of Montgomery surrendered Sunday evening.

He was held Monday without bond.

City officials closed the Centennial Bar and Grill after the 22-year-old rapper, whose real name is Glenn Thomas; and Kimberle Johnson, 22, a Troy University student, were shot to death early Saturday.

A police statement said the shooting stemmed from a dispute involving the rapper.

The six others wounded were in stable condition over the weekend.
