NEW ALBANY, Ind. (March 14, 2013)—Police in New Albany, Ind., weren’t saying much Thursday about the discovery of the bodies of a woman and two children in a shallow creek.
Maj. Keith Whitlow said the bodies were found Wednesday in New Albany.
He said there were no obvious signs of foul play, but said that the deaths were being investigated as homicides.
Whitlow, of New Albany police, told the News and Tribune of Jeffersonville that one of the children was about 2 and the other was an adolescent.
The victims' names have not been released.
Whitlow said more information will be released after autopsies have been performed.
New Albany is less than a mile north of Louisville.
