Body Of Girl, 3, Founded Buried In Backyard Of Home

THATCHER, Ariz. (July 11, 2014) The body of a 3-year-old has been found in the backyard of a home in southeastern Arizona.

The body was discovered as the result of an investigation of a report that two young brothers had been left alone in a motel in Thatcher, Ariz., state Department of Child Safety spokeswoman Jennifer Bowser-Richards said Friday.

A Graham County probation officer found the boys June 26 while looking for Joshua Matthew Cisneros, 23, who is dating the boys' mother, Anna Marie Sanchez, 28.

Authorities say they learned during the investigation that they boys had a sister who had been missing since March 2012.

They’re now investigating whether the body discovered Wednesday is hers.

Authorities are awaiting autopsy results, but are treating the case as a homicide.

Cisneros and Sanchez were jailed on unrelated charges.
