CHULA VISTA, Calif. (September 29, 2012)--A Border Patrol agent shot a woman to death in suburban San Diego while he was being driven on the hood of her car, police said.
Chula Vista police Capt. Gary Wedge said the agent fired Friday after he had been driven a couple hundred yards on the car hood.
He said he did not have more information about the circumstances of the shooting.
The Border Patrol released a statement that an agent fired a gun while conducting operations in Chula Vista, but did not elaborate.
The shooting occurred about five miles north of the Mexican border.
The FBI and Chula Vista police are investigating.
