NEW BRIGHTON, Pa. (March 14, 2013)--A Pennsylvania man and his mother were charged with endangering a child after a 10-year-old boy called 911 when the two adults passed out at home while using heroin, police said.
Officers found both adults unresponsive when they arrived Friday evening.
The boy is the son of Chad Kiser, 34, and the grandson of Ginger Ray Foust, 52, authorities said.
Kiser and Foust were charged with possessing drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of the boy, who told police that his grandmother went into the bathroom to help his father after he passed out.
The boy told police each adult was trying to help the other battle a drug addiction.
The boy was placed in county welfare custody.
