LOVELOCK, Nev. (December 9, 2013) A search was underway Monday in the mountains of rural northwestern Nevada for a couple and four children who went to play in the snow Sunday and haven't returned.
Pershing County deputies say aircraft resumed the search at around 6:30 a.m. Monday for James Glanton, 34, his girlfriend, Christina McIntee, 25, and the four children, a 10-year-old, two 4-year-olds and a 3-year-old.
The relationship between the couple and children was unclear.
Officials say the group went to the Seven Troughs area at about noon Sunday in a 2005 Jeep.
Dispatcher Jerry Reid says a search and rescue operation started a little after 8 p.m. Sunday and continued through most of the night.
Reid says Pershing County deputies were working with a Navy search and rescue team and might bring in the Civil Air Patrol.
