LAS VEGAS (October 21, 2013)--An argument over a cover charge sparked a shooting early Monday at a nightclub on the Las Vegas Strip that left one customer dead and two employees wounded, police said.
A man opened fire at around 5:45 a.m. Monday, wounding a manager and a guard at Drai's After Hours, a club at Bally's Hotel-Casino and another guard might have been injured, police Sgt. John Sheahan said
Sheahan said the nightclub was open at the time and the gunman was believed to have acted alone.
Sheahan said the male customer was shot and killed as he tried to subdue the gunman as people ran from the club.
No names have been released.
Authorities said the gunman paid an unspecified cover charge then demanded his money back before the shooting began.
He was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
