SOUTH BEND, Ind. (October 8, 2012)--A commuter train struck an SUV Sunday night at a crossing in northern Indiana, knocking the vehicle onto its roof and killing its driver, but no one on the train suffered significant injuries, authorities said.
Police say the Chicago-bound train was traveling at about 70 miles per hour with some 200 passengers on board when it struck the SUV near South Bend.

The identity of the SUV driver wasn't immediately released.
