LAS VEGAS (February 22, 2013)—Kenneth Cherry, the driver of a Maserati sports car who was killed in a shooting and fiery crash on the Las Vegas Strip was an aspiring rapper who recently moved from Northern California to Las Vegas, his great aunt said Friday.
Cherry's great aunt, Patricia Sims, of Oakland, Calif., said Cherry's parents are traveling to Las Vegas to claim their son's body.
Sims said she didn't know her nephew was a rapper using the name Kenny Clutch.
The Clark County coroner says it could be this weekend before he can identify the taxi driver and a female passenger killed when the taxi they were in was hit and exploded in flames early Thursday on Las Vegas Boulevard.
Police are looking for a black Range Rover SUV and its occupants after shots were fired into the Maserati.
