NATCHITOCHES, La. (February 25, 2013)--Several buildings were evacuated and classes were cancelled Monday after a high school housed on the campus of Northwestern State in Louisiana received a bomb threat.
Northwestern State police cleared out buildings Monday next to the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts shortly before noon.
The high school also was evacuated.
Officials said later Monday that no explosives were found and both the university and high school were declared safe.
Details about the threat were not immediately released.
Northwestern State has about 4,500 students.
It wasn't clear how many students attend the high school, which is a boarding school.
