NORMAN, Okla. (November 2, 2013) Former University of Oklahoma social work professor Dwain Pellebon has been acquitted of charges stemming from the alleged sexual abuse of several young girls.
A Cleveland County, Okla., jury found Dwain Pellebon not guilty Friday night of three counts of child sexual abuse and six counts of lewd or indecent proposal to children younger than 16.
Pellebon told reporters that he felt "vindicated," but said his life is changed forever.
Pellebon was arrested in December 2011 after he was accused of sex crimes against children, including one girl who is mentally disabled.
He later resigned from the university.
