NEW YORK (September 27, 2013)--Two former U.S. soldiers and an ex-German soldier have been arrested in New York and charged with plotting to kill a U.S. drug enforcement agent, federal prosecutors said Friday in Manhattan.
The government said the plot was part of a conspiracy to import cocaine into the United States.
The three defendants are charged with various counts of conspiracy.
Among those charged is Joseph Hunter, also known as "Rambo."
According to an indictment, he served in the U.S. Army from 1983 to 2004 before becoming a contract killer.
The indictment in Manhattan alleges he had successfully arranged several killings.
