DOTHAN, Ala. (September 23, 2012)--FBI agents have safely recovered abducted Alabama teenager Ailene Mariz Lander in Ohio.
Dothan police Sgt. Rachel David said that federal agents found the 15-year-old girl early Saturday.
Authorities took her stepfather, Charles Dean Partin, and mother, Julie Ann Bethke, into custody, but it was not immediately clear whether they will face criminal charges.
David said law enforcement officers have also recovered five siblings.
Alabama police said the girl was abducted by Partin on Monday after an employee with the Alabama Department of Human Resources took her to a doctor’s appointment at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan.
