KANE, Pa. (September 1, 2013)—A head-on crash in northwestern Pennsylvania killed six people, including two children, state police in Kane, Pa., said.
The crash happened at around 4:30 p.m. Saturday when an SUV driven by Kathy Douglas, 36, crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with an approaching car, authorities said.
The four occupants of the sedan died in the crash.
They were identified Sunday as Gary Beimel, 62, who was the driver, and his passengers, David Cuneo, 54, Elaine Beimel, 55, Florence Donachy, 81, all of St. Marys, Pa.
A boy and a girl, ages 6 and 12, who were riding in the SUV also died and a 10-year-old boy was seriously injured.
Douglas survived and could face charges, investigating officer, Trooper Roger McCloskey said.
